It seems as if some of those people do not know how to actually use a fire starter. It also looks like those fires start magically, unlike what happens when you are out there, in the wild, and need to start a real fire.
Given that, which one fire starter would you recommend?
Get a lighter and start fire easily, or even storm proof brand matches rather getting firestarter aid, tinder and rod scraper. ☝️😎

I really like the circular face pads dipped in hot wax. Fluff them up and light ŵith a lighter, fero rod and etc.
What’s the name of the kit shown in the beginning of the video, the one in the leather holster? You show a pic of it but don’t include it in the review. Why?
Remember, no matter whether you buy a 3$ firesteel or a 30$ one, they all are 1000x better than a triditional flint and steel. If you can’t start fire with a firesteel it is 100% fault in your technique, not the firesteel.

I have found that the best fire starter yet is the simple bic lighter. Light and compact ,it will light 3,000 fires. And they only cost a couple of bucks.

For kindling learn to make your own char cloth from whatever, but blue Jeans work very well! Made right, it only takes a spark(not direct flame)to ignite. Resin packed wood in the South we refer to as lighter knot and get it primarily from Pines

From what I know, there’s no "best fire starter" in the market guys. You get 2 types of Fire starters. Hard and Soft ones. Hard ones are difficult to get sparks out of, but will last much longer while the soft ones like the ones on Swedish fire steel Light my fire are much softer and throw much bigger and hotter sparks. Those fire steel won’t last too long. I try to keep both of them in my fire starting kit. Use the harder one in dry climates because starting fire is easier and keep the softer one in more humid environments. (Tinder needs to be dry though in both cases). The humidity in the air makes it more or less difficult to keep those sparks bright and hot.
if you think that these are the best, you haven’t searched enough. and every time you use the cutting edge of your ax to scrape a ferro rod, it destroys the edge. keep trying lol
