how do the ones that always hold the air work, the air is being contained in either the tank or the balloon yet only in the balloon does it float, how does that work?

  2. @CAPS_AMERICA on March 6, 2025 at 3:07 pm

inflatable jackets have a probability of failure, would you risk your life by that, or just ensure that you don’t put your life to chance and just wear a standard life vest? plus the maintenance of inflatables is too much, I chose the standard one.

Is a x2o life vest is good to swim in

  5. @JI7NKJ on March 6, 2025 at 3:09 pm

The amount of people I see boating with no PFDs and with kids too is a very sad sight, the law should be a lot stricter on this issue.

  6. @graememcfarlane3999 on March 6, 2025 at 3:09 pm

Wheres your crotch strap? Inflatable lifejackets should always be worn with one to stop them riding up when inflated in the water!
The colours of your toggles are also the wrong way round as Yellow signifies Manual and Red signifies automatic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well at least it is everywhere else in the world outside America, also it is not recommended to attach your kill cord to your lifejacket either.

Get a REAL ONE… don’t trust your life to a swimming pool floaty. https://youtu.be/kM4BSzhExRg?si=nijKTTZnKUA9YOEL.

I have petite seizures – off in la-la land for a few minutes. If I fall face-first into water, will the jacket turn me so that my head is out of the water?

  10. @guzforce on March 6, 2025 at 3:11 pm

Wonderful video! Perfect Explanation and guide! Thank you.. I’m going to buy one right now!…

    Is the Co2 cartage reusable

  12. @RobbsHomemadeLife on March 6, 2025 at 3:15 pm

Regardless of what type you buy, do you really want to buy one the same color as the water? So many life jackets are blue and gray or black. This is foolish. Make it easy for people to see you in the water.

  13. @Patrick-yl6op on March 6, 2025 at 3:18 pm

    Cool.

  14. @Robstar-m5l on March 6, 2025 at 3:18 pm

  15. @ChantelStays on March 6, 2025 at 3:20 pm

Suggestions for an 11 year old who is 110lbs and not the strongest swimmer…activity will be canoeing and paddleboarding. I am thinking the inflatable would be best as it will keep her head up better!…I’m presuming auto?

  16. @Hero_of_Legend on March 6, 2025 at 3:20 pm

I’m curious why someone who can not swim should avoid inflatables. It’s precisely the reason I bought one.

I can’t swim because I never did before and now I have a trip for 6 days long so which life jacket is perfect for me

  19. @MJs-85 on March 6, 2025 at 3:22 pm

is the mustang survival Type III PFD is automatic or manual ? I do not see anything that can be pulled for manual inflation.. its a bomber jacker

  20. @Timothy1987 on March 6, 2025 at 3:23 pm

I wouldn’t have a manual one.. what if you get knocked unconscious… 😑

  21. @Zestfranking on March 6, 2025 at 3:23 pm

So people who can’t swim can’t wear the inflatable life jacket, why please?

  22. @williamoneill5498 on March 6, 2025 at 3:25 pm

Great video. Which Onyx flotation jacket ( for kayaking) can be used with which CO2 pull cord inflatable life jacket? If you wanted the maximum safety/buoyancy option at sea, I am wondering if you could comfortably get two of these working together? or is the inflatable belt the only realistic option, for use with a flotation jacket?

  23. @nihonbunka on March 6, 2025 at 3:28 pm

I use a manual one for swimming. After five years the blow tube broke off so I bought another and tested the new one with the old and rusty C02 canister from the broken one. It inflated pronto once I pulled hard enough. It was less the force than to know which direction to pull in – away from the C02 canister mouth.

  24. @Aryfxpedition on March 6, 2025 at 3:29 pm

looks like inflatable is only my options due im kayak fishing where less space to move in 2 person kayak specs

Would a co2 tube need to be checked yearly if it had not ever been used?? Id like to purchase one to use, only in the event of an emergency.

0:30 83% of drowned people where those without live jackets.. That means 17% where wearing live jackets and still managed to drown?! How do you get under water long enough to drown while wearing that thing?

  33. @nakkiel7 on March 6, 2025 at 3:45 pm

Which life jacket an elderly person must buy for swimming in the sea?

  34. @jackiecs8190 on March 6, 2025 at 3:45 pm

Wait hold up, 83% of drowning victims in recreational boating accidents were not wearing a life jacket? That implies that 17% were wearing a life jacket and still died!

Question: Today while fishing in 91º heat, my wife’s Onyx life jacket was on the floor of the boat in the sun. No one was near it when it spontaneously went off. It just about scared her to death. Have you ever heard of such a thing?

  45. @rinetta88 on March 6, 2025 at 3:56 pm

I just hate the idea of extra expenses of buying CO2 cartridges. Does anyone know if those Crosman BB gun CO2 works?? Last time I check these CO2 life vest cartridges were over $20.

Bro, can you not swim? You’re in a lake that’s flat AF.
